When we sat down to brainstorm ideas with 2025 Group Ambassador Jose Stewart, it was clear what we were trying to achieve: a film about Grimsby that would inspire pride, hope, positivity and help to shift the town's negative image. But more than that, we wanted to make something that could go viral, spreading the spirit of positivity far beyond the town’s borders.

From the outset, it was clear this project would require a collaborative effort from some of the most passionate voices in our community. We enlisted the help of local leaders, celebrities, and organisations – all eager to share their stories and “Be Part of the Positive.”

Viral Success and BBC Recognition

Fast-forward to November 19th, when we premiered the film at Grimsby Town Hall to a packed audience of over 120 people. We were thrilled with the response we got... but the real magic happened when we shared it online.

Within days, the video took off, amassing over 50,000 views across social media platforms. The response was incredible – people all over Lincolnshire and beyond were watching, sharing, and commenting.

The film was then featured on BBC Look North, before being picked up by BBC Breakfast, bringing Grimsby's underdog story to a national audience.

A Community Effort to Remember

Looking Ahead: Be Part of the Positive!
